On A Day in Europe, we want to share short stories about Europe, one day at a time and every day again. We want these stories to be different from the usual and necessary reporting and commentary.

You will find personal encounters with Europe in all its facets—positive or em­powering, depressing or challenging, supportive or critical—as experienced and written by people around the world.

We find Europe’s diversity—a diversity extending far beyond its institutions—enriching and exciting, and hope you’ll enjoy catching a glimpse of it.
