The EFEU Project ‘Learning for Europe through experience’ has developed, tested and published materials and methods on education for European citizenship for disadvantaged and disabled young people with little or no knowledge of foreign languages.

The project was co-ordinated and managed by the ‘Internationaler Bund’ and brought together a network of partners – governmental and non-governmental youth and community centres and organisations – from more than 20 European countries to explore experiential learning for European citizenship.

As a large-scale innovative project, EFEU set out to make a meaningful and substantive contribution to the European Union‘s Youth in Action Programme and its ambition to ‘inspire a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union‘s future.’
